Kevin D. Knight

Kevin Knight, age 60, of rural Westby, died on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Kevin probably thought the thundering sound was a good Harley, but it was really God calling him Home. Before his move to the Westby area, he was born and raised in Edgerton, WI by his parents, Jack Knight and Delores (Stellner) Knight. He was number five in a wild brood of seven kids. Kevin had an interesting sense of humor, funny story to tell, and a gift of gab.

Kevin will always be known for making everyone in the room smile as he was a natural jokester. He was very creative in his storytelling, based on his distinct life stories. He was a very caring soul and was resilient through all the battles that he faced in life.

During 30 years of marriage to Jennifer (Knight) Thompson, they had five chaotic children who inherited some of these qualities: Leatitia (Joseph), the headstrong one; Cheyenne (John), the creative one; Bethany (Lee), the rock-n-roller; Chevy (Miranda), the outdoorsy, fishing buddy; and Angel (Thomas), the animal lover. As they grew, he was able to enjoy the addition of his seven feral grandchildren, Tristen, Lillian, Katherine, Julianne, Morgan, Jaxxen, and Raven.

His other loving family that he left behind includes his siblings, Vicky, Cheryl, Julie, Tammy, and Keith, who can attest to his wild childhood, and his dog, Bronco.

Kevin’s life was always unique and a ride. He enjoyed many of his jobs, but logging and bull wrangling were his favorites.

As he was called to Heaven, he was surely welcomed by his parents; his brother, James; and his beloved dog, Walker.

So grab your favorite riding gear, no need for gifts, and head on over to Esofea for a final ride.

A Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Esofea. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow the service. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
