Kurt Fetty, of Viroqua, died Thursday, November 5, 2015. Kurt Allan Fetty, 60, passed away on Thursday, November 5th at St. Josephs Hospital in Chippewa Falls, WI. Kurt went to be with the Lord after a long and hard-fought battle with a lung disease over the past ten years. Kurt was born in Viroqua, WI on March 17, 1955 to his parents, Gordon "Tex" and Mae Fetty. He graduated from Viroqua High School in 1973 and completed some college. On May 3rd, 1986, Kurt married Lorie Volden and later gave life to his loving children, Louis and Kyrsten. Kurt held various jobs, including bartending and working at the cheese cellar, but found one of his greatest passions when he started truck driving. Kurt drove a semi for many years. He enjoyed traveling the country in his semi and was fortunate to be able to have his family with him on occasion. Kurt had many other passions like music, playing the drums, movies, old cars, Mountain Dew, his family, great friends, sports, and the Green Bay Packers. Kurt was the finest jokester, and storyteller, and was very good at making people laugh. His vibrant personality left an impression on every person he met. Kurt was an incredible man that was known and loved by many individuals. He will be deeply missed by all. Kurt is survived by his wife, Lorie; children, Louis (Tamara) and Kyrsten (John); and many relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Mae; grandparents, Clifford and Eva Fetty and Lewis and Rose Running; uncle, Clifford Chambers; mother and father-in-law, Jerry (Joan) Volden. Kurts family would like to thank all of the friends and family who have been supportive through the length of Kurts illness, especially their good family-friends, Cheryl Arneson and Jerry Mathesius.
