Larry A. Nustad, age 67 of Westby, died Friday, August 5, 2011. Larry A. Nustad, age 67 of Westby, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at his home. He was born on February 22, 1944 to Walney and Elaine (Bergh) Nustad. Larry graduated from Westby High School and served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. Following his military service, Larry returned to the Nustad family homestead and farmed for over 30 years. He had also worked at Accelerated Genetics in Westby. Larry had married Ida Hendrickson and they later divorced. He enjoyed fishing at Goose Island and his cars. He is survived by two children: Chad (Cozette) Nustad of Hillsboro and Jenny Nustad of LaCrosse; four grandchildren: Stephanie Nustad, Samantha Nustad, Dylan Nustad, and Ella Nustad; one sister, Sharon (Robert) Carlton of St. Paul, MN; a niece, Renee (John) LaBlond of Farmington, MN; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby on Friday, August 12, 2011 from noon until departing for Coon Prairie Cemetery where a graveside service with military rites will be held. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
