Laurie Kuhnke, 57, of De Soto, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Laurie Lynn Kuhnke 57, of De Soto died Wednesday September 12, 2018 at her home. Laurie was born November 23, 1960 in Burlington, Wisconsin to Merritt and Beverly Kuhnke. She attended elementary school in De Soto, and later attended Burlington High School. She met the love of her life Ronald Smith in the mid 80s and together they ran The River Lounge for many years. Laurie will always be remembered for her unique sense of humor, her honest opinions, and her outgoing personality. Laurie is survived by her mother, Beverly Kuhnke of Ferryville, her sister, Brenda Ziebell of De Soto, her brother, Randal Kuhnke of Ferryville, her brother, Ronald (Sue) Kuhnke of Baraboo, and her beloved dog Jack Kuhnke. Along with many other relatives and friends. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Merritt Kuhnke and her siblings Robin, Linda, and Rick. As well as her lifelong partner Ronald Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home (123 W Decker St / Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10am untill the time of service. In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. Online Condolences may be offered at www.VossFH.com.
