LaVern H. Jeffers, age 70 of LaFarge, died Thursday November 14, 2019. LaVern H. Jeffers, age 70 of LaFarge, died Thursday November 14, 2019 at Bethel Home and Services in Viroqua, he was surrounded by; his loving family, hospice and caregivers. LaVern was born December 9, 1948 in Webster Township to John and Emma (Reise) Jeffers. He was a graduate of LaFarge High School. He was a farmer most of his life. He worked for both Dwayne and Earl Parr; he loved bailing hay and driving a tractor. LaVern was a simple man, a good-hearted person, and a hard worker. He was a terrible housekeeper, however. He loved his dogs, some say, more than people. But, he liked them too, and could talk your arm off, given half the chance. His memory was remarkable, especially for dates; he remembered everyones birthdays. So, God bless our memories of LaVern. LaVern is survived by, his brothers and sister, Spencer Jeffers, JoAnn Litfin, and Dwain (Regina) Jeffers; his sister-in-law Sherlia Jeffers; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by, his parents; his brother Clarence and his brother-in-law Gus Litfin. A Funeral Service for Lavern will be Friday November 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 203 N. State St., in LaFarge. Pastor Mark Phillips of the Free Methodist Church in LaFarge will officiate. Friends may call during a Visitation one-hour prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 also at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in LaFarge.
