Lawrence "Larry" Hadley

Lawrence Ellis Hadley (Larry), age 81, of Soldiers Grove passed away on Tuesday, May 23, surrounded by his family. He was born to Merle and Leota Hadley on June 5, 1941, at home in Duck Creek, Vernon County. Larry was one of 12 children.

Larry met Lynn in Readstown and together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. They had two children, a daughter, Terry (Hadley) Dull of Gays Mills, WI and a son, Rick Hadley of Soldiers Grove, WI.

He worked for Childs House Movers in Boscobel, Hansen Buildings in Soldiers Grove, and Design Homes in Prairie du Chien, where he retired after 20 years as an Operation Engineer. Larry’s hobbies included: deer hunting, fishing, and hunting ginseng and morel mushrooms. He loved antique cars and trucks and playing music with his family and friends. Larry played multiple instruments. He had quite a funny sense of humor.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lynn; two children, Terry (Roger) Dull and Rick (Natasha Knapp) Hadley; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Services for Larry will be held at a later date.
