WESTBY Leah Marie Roberts, age 89, died Sunday August 20, 2017. Leah Roberts, age 89, went home to the Lord on August 20, 2017, after a short stay at Vernon Manor. Leah was born on October 8, 1927 to Ole and Lois (Parr) Martinson. She attended school in both Bloomingdale and Westby. On August 3, 1946, Leah married Anthony Tony Roberts. Together they had three children, Mya, Marc and Marla. Leah was a member of Sugar Grove and Faith United Methodist Churches all of her life. She worked at Vernon Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, coloring and painting. Leah also loved cooking, not only for her family but for the ladies of Halverson Apartments in Westby, where she lived for the past 27 years. We will miss her dearly! She is survived by; her three children Mya (Jerry) Fish, Marc ( Roberta) Roberts and Marla (Dwayne) LaVold, six grandchildren Jon (Betty) Fish, Amy (Mike) Fisher, Jr. (Vickie) Fish, Terina (Stephen) Siekierski, Tara (Dan) Lehman and Tony (Rachel) Roberts, eight great-grandchildren Jake Turner, Jessica (Luke) Johnson, Tara (Ty Cato) Turner, and Taylor, Owen, Emma and Conner Siekierski and Olivia Roberts, and five great-great grandchildren Elliott, Hunter, Ellie, Noah and Carter. Also surviving is a sister Loretta (Bob) Huenefeld and brother and sister-in laws, Janet (Richard) Wills, Dick (Gail) Vinz, Louise Vinz, Jim (Rita) Vinz, and Betty (Bob) Furset. She was preceded in death by; her parents, a brother Ronnie Martinson (Rita), Anthony Roberts, and brother and sister-in-laws Isabelle (Joe) Klein, Emery (Edna) Roberts, Kenny Roberts, Betty (George) DeLap, Dean Vinz, Alva (Charles) Baldwin. Funeral Services for Leah will be Satuday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith United Methodist Church (on Salem Ridge Rd. north of Route 82 in Webster Township where Bloomingdale Road and Salem Ridge Road meet, north of the Avalanche Road intersection). Pastor Jim Aniol will officiate. Friends may call during a visitation Friday August 25, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. There will be a short prayer service with Pastor George Schick at 5:45. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service from10-11 on Saturday at the church.
