Leo D. Wong, age 89 of Hillsboro, died Wednesday May 15, 2019. Leo Dale Wong, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home. He was born November 15, 1929 in Hillsboro to the late Ernest and Vera (Marshall) Wong. Leo was a longtime resident of Rockton and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was family oriented, a fun loving jolly person who would give you the shirt off his back. He worked hard all his life farming and driving truck, retiring when he was 62. He loved horses and collies and was an avid Green Bay Packers and Brewers fan (when they were winning.) He also collected pens. Leo is survived by his 7 children; Gary (Bonnie) Sullivan-Wong, Terry (Mary Lou Evans) Wong, David Wong, Kevin Wong, Ronnie (Kathy) Wong, Marla (David) Appleman and Monica (Vaughn) Demaskie, his 13 grandchildren; Shannon, Laura, Lisa, Katelin, John Paul, Coreen, Jason, Ronnie Jr., Jason, Christina, Tiffany, Matthew and Patrick, and his 20 great-grandchildren. Leo is further survived by; his 3 nieces and nephews; Linda (Rick) Kouba, Christie (Robert) Kouba and Kirby (Ann) Wong, and by sister-in-law Angeline Boggiano and brother-in-law Larry Booher. Leo was preceded in death by; his wife Doris on January 9, 2005, his parents, his daughter Joanne, his granddaughter Kelly Brock, his siblings Arthur "Art" Wong, Lucille (Virgil) Meyers, Lois (Alvin) Harris and an infant brother, Johnny. Funeral services for Leo have been tendered, with a private burial and full Military Honors.
