Leon Crum

Leon Crum, 77, died Friday, February 20, 2015. Leon Dean Crum, age 77, of DeSoto, passed away Friday February 20, 2015 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. Leon was born April 17th 1937 in Retreat. He graduated from DeSoto High School in 1955. Leon married Hazel Sandvick in August of 1956 and later they divorced. He later married Mary Joyce (Simpson) Runice in April 1992. Leon worked at Fairbanks Morris as a machinist. In 1979 he moved to Ferryville and owned the Rattle Inn Bar and Grill. Leon enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Leon is survived by, his wife Mary; Children: Lee (Robin) Crum, Leslie Crum, Lori (Lee) Sidwell; Step Children: Michalia Runice, Jeff (Brenda) Runice; nine Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; two Brothers: Lyle (Marie) Crum, and LaVon (Donna) Crum; Sister, Iris (Roy) Sandvick; and special friend Debbie Wacker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Keithe and Beverly Crum; daughter-in-law, Ruth Crum; nephew, William Crum; and step son Ernie Runice. Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in DeSoto. Pastor Judie Jacobson will officiate with burial to follow in the Walnut Mound cemetery. Friends may call from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, February 24 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in DeSoto.
