Leon Lester

Leon Lester, 73 , of Ferryville died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. Leon Lester, 73, of Ferryville Wisconsin, passed away September 18, 2013 at Hill View Nursing Home in La Crosse. He was born July 12, 1940 in Short Pole, West Virginia to Finis Lester and Dolly Hagy Lester Christian. Leon was also known as Bud and Buddy by most of his family members. Leon loved watching wrestling and listening to country music with his wife. Leon is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jean Daniels Lester; daughter, Tammy (Larry) Adkins; two grandsons: Keith and Kyle Adkins; two great grandsons: Daniel and Draruin Adkins; three sisters: Delphia (Tiny) Christian, Linda (Serafino) Giannola, Dorothy Gaye Hipps; and many nieces and nephews. Leon was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Jimmy Ray Christian, Robert Winnie Christian, Ronnie Christian, and Russel Edward Christian. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua ,123 W Decker ( Highway 56) in Viroqua. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 23 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. till the time of service at 11. Burial will follow at the Ferryville Cemetery. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
