Lester R. Flick

Lester R. Flick, 81, of De Soto, Wisconsin, passed away on August 3, 2026, in his hometown of De Soto. Born on September 5, 1944, he was the son of Vernon and Margaret (Parisius) Flick.

Lester grew up in the De Soto area, a place he proudly called "God's Country." He began his career as a barber in West Salem before joining his brothers to establish Winneshiek Manufacturing, where he worked until his retirement. A true jack of all trades, Lester was always willing to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand.

Lester loved hunting, fishing, trapping and just simply being outdoors. He believed in hard work, honesty, and kindness, and was known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and being a "walking book of knowledge."

Lester is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne “Sue” Flick (Everson); his daughter, Lori Fogle, and son-in-law, Bryan Fogle; his cherished granddaughters, Breann Fogle and Brynn Fogle; his brothers, Keith (Sharon) Flick and Harlan (Pam) Flick; and his sisters, Sallie Flick and Diana Bentz, sister-in-law Bonnie Flick along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gordon Flick, Dale Flick, and Russell Flick; and his sisters, Gloria Hutzler, Anita Clough, and Marilyn Meyer.

Lester will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love of the outdoors, his willingness to help others, and the wisdom he generously shared throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the friendships he cherished, and the countless lives he touched over his 81 years. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Funeral Service for Lester will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at the De Soto Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A luncheon will be held at the church after the funeral.
