Lila J. Zogg

Lila J. Zogg, age 85, of Viroqua, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026. She was born on April 23, 1940, to the late Herman and Inez (Cooley) Mellem. She graduated from Readstown High School and married Lauren Zogg on June 13, 1959. She worked at NCR in Viroqua for over 25 years. After retiring, she worked part time at the Viroqua Library. Lila enjoyed playing cards with her friends, reading, and traveling with Lauren.

Survivors include her son, Jay (Elena) Zogg of Cable, WI; two daughters, Debra (Eric) Kappmeyer of La Crosse and Laurie (Steve) Schlosser of Arkansaw, WI; five granddaughters, Breanna Zogg, Allison (Karina) Kappmeyer-Sofia, Kelly (Nicholas) McAleer, Elizabeth (Caitlin) Cyrowski, and Katherine (Toni) Cyrowski; two great-grandchildren, Constantine Cyrowski and Veda Daffinson; one brother, Elling Mellem; three sisters, Sharon Dewitt, Diane Kirkeeng, and Ruth Kroning; her brother-in-law, Roger (Kay) Zogg; sister-in-law, Virginia Mills; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lauren Zogg; two sisters, Ardelle Suiter and Darlene Mellem; and her brother, Arvid “Pete” Mellem.

A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until Noon on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. A luncheon will follow at the funeral home.
