Lillian Erickson, age 85 of Viroqua, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 Lillian Irene Erickson, age 85 of Viroqua, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born in Viroqua on February 20, 1922 the daughter of Melvin and Hilda (Rusdahl) Olson. Lillian graduated from Viroqua High School and Vernon County Teachers College. She taught for several years at rural Viroqua Schools before her marriage to Lawrence "Mike" Erickson on October 18, 1945. They farmed in Newton Valley until 1978 when they moved to Skyline Acres between Viroqua and Westby. Lillian was a member of the Viroqua United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Dennis (Alice) of Crown Point, IN; two daughters, Marcia (Anthony) Piccione of Novato, CA and Mary Ostrem of Viroqua, nine grandchildren: Stephanie Hibbs, Kathy Moore, Michelle Brown, Dawn Erickson, Nicholas Ostrem, Heather Ostrem, Michael Piccione, Daniel Piccione and Paula Piccione; six great-grandchildren: Connor, Kendall, Kylie Hibbs, Madison and Makenzie Moore and Mason Brown. She is also survived by one brother, Beuford (Karen) Olson of Viroqua. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on July 2, 1994, her parents, and two brothers: Wesley and Russell Olson. Funeral services for Lillian will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Viroqua United Methodist Church. Pastor Ethan Larson will officiate with burial in The Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 West Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. (Due to road construction, please use the parking lot entrance block south of Hwy 56.) Friends may call at the church on Tuesday after 1 p.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
