Linda K. Stone

Linda Stone, age 67 of Viroqua and formerly of Viola, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 Linda K. "Flo" Stone, age 67 of Viroqua and formerly of Viola,died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born on April 18, 1944 in Charlotte, NC to Clyde and Virginia (Davis) Arrowood. On May 20, 1964 she was united in marriage to Alvin Leroy Stone. They lived in the Viola area and Alvin farmed and Linda worked for over 25 years for Bill Bender both at the bar and the Viola Quik Stop. She enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino and watching and feeding the birds. Linda also loved country music. She is survived by three children: Ramona Chase, Craig (Laura) Stone and Leroy Stone, all of Viroqua; three grandchildren: Christina Stone, David and Chyanne Stone; her mother, Virginia Arrowood of North Carolina; two sisters: Millie Fisher and Connie Arrowood; two brothers: James Arrowood and Dean Arrowood; and special friends: Merv Niemeyer and Pat Rueckhien. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Brenda Faye, and her husband, Alvin Leroy Stone who died on June 13, 1998. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Viola United Methodist Church. Pastor Wayne Hull will officiate with burial in the Viola Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday from 4 to7 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday after 10 am. at the church. The Vosseteig Funeral Homes of Viola and Viroqua are serving the family.
