Linda Jean Wiltsie died peacefully on October 6th, 2025, at Creamery Creek Memory Care in Stoddard, WI. She was 73 years old. Linda was born on September 28th, 1952, to Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth 'Bette' (Goodenough) Wiltsie in Black River Falls, WI.
During her life, Linda proved herself to be a hard worker and she found joy in the work she did. In her younger years she worked at a daycare where she loved the antics and hugs of the little ones. She was proud of the knowledge she gained from her time working at the camera shop in Viroqua and the help she could provide working at the Viroqua Chamber office for several years. The job she enjoyed the most was working in people’s homes cleaning and house sitting. Linda became very close to the families she worked for and even though she was a cat lover, she also became a dog lover after caring for them while families were away.
Linda also had a fine reputation of being generous and hospitable. One of Linda’s great talents was baking bread and sharing it with others. No one baked bread like Linda! Also no one played cards or Dominos like Linda! She was all smiles and laughter during the hours she spent playing games with friends and family.
The one thing Linda was most proud of was when she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1984. Linda’s personal relationship with her God, Jehovah, grew stronger each day. She received peace of mind and comfort reflecting on Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection and paradise earth and she loved telling others about her hope for the future.
A special thank you is extended to the staff at Creamery Creek in Stoddard and Moments Hospice for their excellent care of Linda.
Linda was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl (Mick), Richard (Dick), and Robert (Bob), as well as nephews, Richard and Mason and niece, Ginger.
She is survived by two sisters, Rita (Bruce) Nelson, and Marie Walter; nephews, Rick, Bob, and Sean; and nieces, Bobbi Jean and Briana and great-niece Quinn survive her as well. There are many cousins and extended family surviving her that loved her and held her in a special place in their hearts.
