Lindford 'Lynn' R. Hanson, 67 of Westby, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Lynn R. Hanson, 67 of Westby died December 20, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. Lynn was born to Andrew and Verda (Geddes) Hanson on May 24, 1944 in Kickapoo Township. On December 10, 2005 he was united in marriage to his wife Bonnie Neuheisel. Above all else, the most important thing to Lynn was spending time with his family. He was a very proud grandfather. He loved to talk and tell jokes, and was loved by everyone around him. Lynn also enjoyed spending time fishing and playing guitar. His love for music and playing guitar was shown by organizing and leading the band step by step. His wife Bonnie was also a member of the band and together they traveled around the state playing in many venues as well as playing for the Country Music Association dances. For many years Lynn worked as a caregiver. Lynn is survived by his wife Bonnie; children Tammy Hanson (Jerry Green), Betsy (Josh) Hanson, Michelle Hanson (Jareth Hagen); step-children Tony Pillow (Valerie Reeb), Ed (Lori) Pillow, Jackie (Charlie) Karrig; grandchildren Cassandra, Tyler, Skyler, Brylee, Tommy, Nate, Anna, Alex, Cole, Chelsee; sister Dolores (Barney) Huffar, Janet (Marvin) Christianson; sisters-in-law Judi Griffey, Madonna Hansen (Dan Schwarz); aunt Connie (Tom) Melvin; uncle Dale Geddes; aunt Marge Geddes; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Linda; and his step-son Paul Pillow.Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home (708 S. Main) in Westby. Burial will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
