Lisa Wille

Lisa Wille age 46, died Saturday August 25, 2012. Lisa Jean (Prokupek) Wille, 46, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at UW-Madison Hospital as a result of leukemia. Lisa was born August 1, 1966 in Chippewa Falls, WI, daughter of Lloyd and Leona Prokupek. She attended Cadott Public Schools, graduating in 1985. She moved to the La Crosse area, working for Fleming Companies. During that time she returned to college at UW-LaCrosse earning a degree in Human Resource Management in 2000. For the past 11 years, Lisa was employed as the La Crosse County Benefits Coordinator. Lisa met the love of her life and married Dennis Wille on July 22, 2006. They became parents to Sawyer Grant Wille on April 19, 2011. Lisas pride and joy was her little boy. Though her time was short by our standards, she made every moment count in raising their son. Lisa enjoyed life to the max. She made friends wherever she went. She was looked upon as a role model by many, especially her young co-workers at the Stockyard. That second job she took on as "The Fun Job" became a backbone of support for her. LISASTRONG bands can be seen throughout the community and helped with Sawyers needs while in the hospital. They were not only a fund-raiser in Lisas cause, but a symbol of what she represented. She worked hard and she played hard. She loved riding her 3 horses with friends, camping trips with her siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, spending time on the water whether on a pontoon or canoe. Lisa especially loved spending time on the family farm, milking cows and doing whatever was in need on the farm. Her zest and rewards of the simple things in life was second to none. Lisa leaves a big void for many people but she also would expect us to move forward and continue on with our lives, knowing that someday we will be together again in Heaven. Lisa, above all, taught us how to live. Lisa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wencle and Agnes Stipek and her paternal grandparents, Jerry and Erna Prokupek. She is survived by her husband Dennis, son Sawyer, parents Lloyd and Leona Prokupek and in-laws Ray and Laura Wille. Lisa is further survived by her siblings Lorraine (Mike) Berget, Lloyd Prokupek, Lucy (Bob) Peloquin-Roff, Lynda Shimko, Larry (Lori) Prokupek, Laurie (Dean) Hitz. Lisa also had 1 sister-in-law Nancy Parker. Lisa was affectionately known as Sassie to her nieces and nephews Angie, Katie, Melissa Berget, Tiffany, Jennifer Hakes, Abby, Agnes Prokupek, Alex, Ben Shimko, MaryJo, McKenzie Prokupek, Bowmann Ammans, Brayden, Trenten Hitz, Trent, Trevor, Trey, Taylor Parker. Lisa was also blessed with many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been opened for Sawyer Grant Wille. A private burial will be held in Cadott at a later date with a celebration of her life to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Viroqua. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
