Lorena Georgie Fitzpatrick

Lorena Fitzpatrick, age 80, of Richland Center passed away peacefully Monday, January 8, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born October 26, 1943, to the late Georgie and Lorraine (Grimm) Coppernoll in Richland Center. Lorena attended the Rock School in Sylvan and then went to work for Pampered Beef where she oversaw over 3,000 calves. When they closed, Lorena then found her passion as a nursing aid for what is now Soldiers Grove Health Services where she retired in 2016.

In 1960, Lorena married Kenneth Fitzpatrick in Sylvan at their family’s home and together they had three sons: Charles, Kevin, and Shawn. As a family, they would go camping every year, never to the same site twice. Lorena enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren, but would only fish from the bank never in a boat. She would attend family reunions and hosted a few at their family home that she never moved from.

Lorena is survived by her son, Charles; grandchildren: Shane, Kenny, and Kailey; daughter-in-law, Tammy Fitzpatrick; her sister, Marcia (Lyle) Zellmer; and her nieces and nephews: Tammy, Tina, Tim, Tanya, Todd, and Becky.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Kevin and Shawn; and her parents.

Per her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
