Lowell Dale Parker, age 82 of Viroqua died Friday, September 7, 2007 Lowell Dale Parker, age 82 of Viroqua died Friday, September 7, 2007 at his home. He was born February 27, 1925 in rural La Farge, WI to Jason and Maggie (Sanders) Parker. He married Belva Campbell on April 23, 1949 in Mahtomedi, MN. He worked at the Viroqua Creamery for 14 years and then at Gundersen Lutheran in the maintance department until his retirement. He lived in the Bud area for 48 years prior to moving into Viroqua nine years ago. He had served in the U. S. Navy from 1943 until 1946. Lowells special interests were farming, hunting, wood carving, and mushroom hunting. Lowell is survived by his wife, Belva; six daughters: Priscilla (Edward) Martin of TN; Pamela (friend-Kenneth Ryan) DeWitt of New York; Bonnie (Field) McConnell of Minnesota; Carmen (John) Brouillette of Viola; Marilyn (Michael) Wilson of Colfax; Maggie (Tony) Gabrielson of Westby; grandchildren Christopher DeWitt, Cole McConnell, Gretchen (Jack) Garrett, Mollie McConnell, Amy McConnell, Katie McConnell, Michael (Karlene) Jensen, Jeannette Wilson, Jason Wilson, Katrinna Worthy, Tanya Worthy, and Deven Gabrielson; Great-grandchildren: Meredith and Trenton Jensen. He is further survived by 3 sisters: Cevil Daulton of Cashton; Donna Pfingsten of MN; Garnet Owen of Oregon; brother: Kermit (Jan) Parker of Avalanche, brother-in-law: Harold Green of Viroqua; sister-in-law: Janice Parker of Viroqua. Mother-in-law: Rosa Cambell of St. Paul, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Cecil Parker; sister: Berdena Green; 3 brothers-in-law: Harold Daulton, Charles Pfingsten, and Kermit Owen. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home , 123 West Decker Street (Hwy 56) in Viroqua WI. Pastor Don Greven will officiate with burial in the Zion Annex Cemetery, rural Viroqua. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 until the time of service. (Due to road construction, please use the parking lot entrance block of Hwy 56.)The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
