Lucille I (Deaver) Hetletvedt, age 88 of Westby, died Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2008. Lucille Irene (Deaver) Hetletvedt, age 88 of Westby was called to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2008. She was born on August 9, 1919 to John and Clara (Borrison) Deaver. She grew up on a farm in Brush Hollow, graduated from Viroqua High School, Vernon County Normal School and then taught briefly in Minnesota. From 1965 to 1981 she worked as a bookkeeper at Red Owl Stores. On May 16, 1938 she was united in marriage to Raymond Hetletvedt (next month it would have been 70 years). Ray and Lucille lived many places but most recently in Chippewa Falls for more than 40 years before moving to Westby several years ago. Lucille leaves to mourn her husband, Ray; one brother, Earl Deaver; two adopted sons, Charles (Lisa) of Greenville, Ohio and Richard of Eau Claire; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; nephews and nieces: Ken and Kay Deaver, John and Jen Stoltz, Jim and Deb Campton, Gary and Carol Deaver, Terry and Gloria Deaver, Ellen Hyder and Nancy Bernard; and many friends.Blessed be her memory. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Hallemeier will officiate with burial in the Brush Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 10 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
