Lydia N. Pederson, age 100 of Cashton, died Friday, December 19, 2008. Lydia N. Pederson, age 100 of Cashton, passed away early Friday morning, December 19, 2008 at the Norseland Nursing Home in Westby where she has been a resident since 2005. She was born on November 13, 1908 to Peter and Thea (Olsen) Hanson. On February 5, 1930 she married John Pederson and they had one daughter, Lillie. The family farmed in Knapp Valley until they retired and moved to Cashton. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her daughter, Lillie; three brothers: Helmer, Melvin and Oscar; and six sisters: Hannah, Josie, Hilma, Tillie, Selma and Tennie. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday after 10 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Memorials may be given to Norseland Nursing Home or the Coon Prairie Cemetery. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
