Lynda Childs

Lynda L, Childs, age 57, of Boscobel, died on Thursday, October 30, 2025, after a long health battle, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 6, 1968, in Viroqua to the late Gary and Georgia (Fosnow) Childs. She graduated from Wauzeka High School with the class of 1986. She grew up on a farm in Crawford County. She spent many summers with her special cousins, Melody and Ronna Childs. She earned her CNA license and worked in the healthcare field, the prison system in the food service area, and was a bartender. Lynda loved playing rummy, euchre, cribbage, and was a long-time member of women's pool league in Crawford and Grant Counties. She loved camping with her family and watching The Price Is Right and Green Bay Packers football. She was sassy, outspoken, and full-spirited. She loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, family, her dogs Foxy and Molly, and her cat, Mouser.

Lynda showed her true strength after surviving brain cancer for 15 years. Blessed be the memory of Lynda L. Childs.

Survivors include her children, Jeremy Childs and Kasey (Katrina) Bunders; her siblings, Kalynn (Steve) Hanson, Terry (Peggy) Childs, and Brent (Denise) Childs; her grandchildren, Cory & Westyn Childs, Lane & Laura Bunders, Alex Dilley; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Leslie Childs and Lonnie Childs; and her nephew, Cory Childs.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
