Lynford James Dayton

Lynford James Dayton, age 85 from Viroqua WI, died Monday February 4, 2019. Lynford James Dayton, 85 years young, from Viroqua WI, formerly of Morris, CT passed away peacefully February 4, 2019. Lyn was born on July 22, 1933 in Waterbury CT to Paul and Evelyn (Haight) Dayton. Lyn served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He then attended the University of Connecticut (UConn) earning his bachelors degree. Lyn ran a successful fiberglass molding company. He was an avid basketball player and golfer. He also enjoyed hiking, fishing, boating and traveling cross country in his RV. He is survived by; his 4 daughters Cathy (Joe) Lambert, Mary (Todd) Spear, Jennifer Dayton and wife Bridget Miller, Gem (Meg) Dayton. His Grandchildren Robert Lambert, Mark and Jamie Lambert, Paul and Jessica Lambert, Rose and Mason Beers, Donald Jacques, and his Great Grandchildren Morgan Lambert, Mason Lambert, Makenzie Lambert, Aubrey Beers. A funeral service for Lynford will be Thursday February 7, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. There will be Military Honors at the close of the evening. Friends may call during a visitation from 4:00-6:00 PM before the service. In lieu of flowers or plants memorials may be directed to the White Memorial Conservation Center, 80 Whitehall Rd., Litchfield Conn., 06759 in his name, or to the family.
