Malvin Rossing January 28, 2005 Malvin Rossing was born on June 24, 1908 in Bergen, ND to Reverend Olaf and Marthe (Milsten) Rossing. In 1926 Malvin graduated from Bergen High School. He graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN in 1930. He received his degree from Augsburg Seminary in 1933 and was ordained in 1933 in the Lutheran Free Church. In 1937 Malvin received his Diplome Superieur in Paris, France. On Dec. 27, 1934 Malvin married Anna Haga at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bergen. From 1936 to 1967 Malvin and Anna served as Lutheran missionaries in Madagascar. From 1967-1973 they served the Bethel and Bethany parishes in Viroqua, WI. For the next 17 years they served at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, MN where Malvin was a Visitation Pastor. Malvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anna, his parents Olaf and Marthe Rossing and his brothers Erik, Johan, Karl, Olaf, Ingvald and sisters Anna, Anna and Martha, and his sons Gerhardt and David. Malvin is survived by his children Gertrude (Ray) Bryant of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Melvin Rossing and wife Janice Moss of Fridley, MN, Martha Ann (Marvin) Sloboden of Eagan, MN, and Elizabeth (Dean) Erickson of Viroqua, WI. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family thanks Elizabeth, Dean, Brett and Justin Erickson for their dedicated and compassionate care of their father, mother and grandparents for seven years. Malvin will be remembered as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as a devoted servant of God
