Margie E. Allen, 93, of Viroqua died Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Margie E. Allen (nee Henry), 93, of Viroqua died peacefully, Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She was born January 4, 1919 to Bert & Hazel (Fiske) Henry. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Kenneth Allen; daughters: Barbara (Horst) Bodensack and Sharon Gibbs; granddaughters: Stephanie Weber and Christina Rogers; great-grandsons: Mathew, Ryan and Jacob Rogers; sisters: Darlene Johnson and Donna (Kenny) Arnetveit; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jim Gibbs; two sisters: Irene Herried and Alberta Nale; one brother, Lawrence Henry. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1919 Redfield Street, La Crosse, Wis. Pastor Scott McMurray will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be at the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be made to the Bethel Home, 614 S. Rock Avenue, Viroqua, WI 54665. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
