Marian Pfingsten

Marian Pfingsten, 92, of Footville WI, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Footville/Westby, WI Marian (Volden) (McDaniel) Pfingsten, age 92 of Footville, received her angel wings on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Manor where she has resided for the last six years. She was born on October 18, 1922 the daughter of Palmer and Rosie (Lee) Volden. On June 29, 1940 she married George McDaniel and they farmed. He died in August of 1965. She later married Bernard Pfingsten. He died February 28, 1995. Family was very important to Marian and she loved baking, especially Norwegian food. She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Onshus of Westby and Madonna (Michael) Willger of Janesville; six grandchildren: Donna (Tommy) Leum, Diane (Dennis) Hutfless, Todd (Jennifer) Willger, John (Nancy) Willger, Timothy Willger and Terry Willger; nine great-grandchildren: Christopher, Brittany, Erin, Beth, Hannah, Jayven, Carrie Jo, Jacob, Kaity, and Noah; one sister, Doris Volden; many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, George McDaniel and Bernard Pfingsten, she was preceded in death by one son, Donovan McDaniel; siblings: Lester, Jerry, Clifford, Chester, Otis, Purdy, Archie and Irene Nelson; son-in-law, Raymond Onshus; and one grandson. Marians family wishes to thank the Mercy Hospice and St. Elizabeth Manor for the love and care Marian received. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015 at noon at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Moen), rural Cashton with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Pastors Amanda Schultz and Gary Daines will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.vossfh.com.
