Marlene L Jasperson

Marlene L. Jasperson, 81, of Viroqua, died Saturday, November 16, 2013. Marlene was born on April 23, 1932 to Wilson and Norma Sutherland in Viola. She graduated from Viola High School. Marlene was married to her husband Kenneth on April 23, 1954 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. She worked at the A&P Grocery Store and JC Penney before becoming a farm wife. Marlene is survived by her husband Kenneth; two adopted children: Darin (Mark Trinastic) Jasperson of Roberts, WI, and Amy (Steven) Olson of Viroqua, WI; two grandchildren: Joshua (Samantha) Everson, of Viroqua, WI, and Justin (Bryany) Everson of Viroqua, WI; two step-grandchildren: Jeffrey Olson of La Crosse, WI, and Jenifer (Luke) Hirschfeld of Peosta, IA; three great grandchildren: Aiden Everson, Noah and Evan Hirschfeld; two brothers: Robert Sutherland, and Eston (Janice) Sutherland; and three sisters: Norma (Arden) Mills, Mary Alderman, and Linda (Keith) Chamberlain. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Janine Mahoney, and Donna Lawler; two brothers: Ardith "Art" Sutherland, and Ronald Sutherland who died in infancy; a brother-in-law, Bruce Mahoney; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Sutherland. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 123 West Decker Street (Hwy 56), Viroqua, WI 54665. Burial will follow at Viroqua Cemetery, 429 Hickory Street, Viroqua, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. till the time of service at 11. Friends may also call on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
