Martin Leroy Coggon

Martin LeRoy Coggon, 74, passed away peacefully December 26, 2020, at Vernon Manor, in Viroqua. He was born on December 23, 1946, to James and Ester (McElhose) Coggon. Martin was raised in a farming family where big gardens and hard work was needed. He was among the last generations of tobacco growers. He had a soft spot for dogs any breed but his favorite was coon hounds. He enjoyed taking the dogs out at night to coon hunt. He will be remembered by his soft voice and a smile that would put a twinkle in his eyes. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Esther; brothers, Homer Coggins and Elza Coggon; sisters, Fern Wilder and Wanetta Bannister; brother-in-law, LeRoy Bannister; sisters-in-law, Marie Coggon, Patricia Coggins and Susan Coggon. He is survived by his brothers, Sevester and George Coggon. Sister, Rose Coggon; and three generations of nieces and nephews.
