Mary Ann E. Oftedahl, age 74 of Viroqua, died on Saturday, October 27, 2007 Mary Ann E. Oftedahl, age 74 of Viroqua, died on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at her home. She was born on May 21, 1933 in Vernon County to Elmer and Lenore (Tomtengen) Leum. She attended Leum Rural School and Graduated from Westby High School. Mary Ann married Norman "Nubby" Oftedahl on June 30, 1951. She work as deli manager at Ted and Freds and was a waitress at the Viking Inn. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the Martha Circle. Mary Ann enjoyed winters in Arizona for the last eleven years.She is survived by her husband, Norman "Nubby", three children Fritz (Renee) of New Lisbon, WI; Dan Oftedahl of Viroqua, WI; Tina Marie (Art) Hodge of Gillette, WY; seven grandchildren: Danielle Oftedahl, Courtney Oftedahl, Lauren Oftedahl, David Hodge, Douglas Hodge, Samantha Oftedahl, Spencer Oftedahl; two great-grandchildren: Payton and Isaac. She is also survived by three brothers: Otis, Lloyd and Gilbert; three sisters: Eunice Sorenson, Olga Gossett, Eleanor Ekern; two sisters-in law: Eleanor Oftedahl and Doris Halverson.She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Martin, Milton, Ralph; brother-in-law Kenny Oftedahl.A special thank you to Vernon Memorial Hospice and especially to Lois Tryggestad.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Pastor Kathryn Ingbritsen will officiate with burial in the Bethel Cemetery, rural Viroqua. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 West Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. (Due to road construction, please use the parking lot entrance block south of Hwy 56.) Friends may also call after 10:00 a.m. at the church. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
