Mary C. Haugrud, age 70 of Viroqua, died Friday, December 7, 2007. Mary C. Haugrud, age 70 of Viroqua, died Friday, December 7, 2007 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1937 to Clare and Mary Mae (Robbins) Brundage. She married Peter Sidney of Texas and later married LaVon "Sonny" Haugrud of Viroqua. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and her two cats: George and Sheba. Mary worked for many years at area nursing homes and was well liked. She is survived by two daughters: Miss Laurie Jean Magdalene Rose of Melvina and her children: Joshua, Amy, and Rebecca; and Tammy Black of West Salem and her son Samuel; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Karl Brundage of Milwaukee; and her step father, Ernest Blair of Viroqua; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Eugene, Julian and David; and one sister, Geraldine. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Nathan Prong, Minister from the Viroqua Church of Christ will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. The Vosseteig Funeral Homes of Viroqua and Westby are serving the family.
