Mary E. Fosbinder, September 26, 2005 Mary E. Fosbinder, age 84 of Westby and formerly of Viroqua, died on September 26, 2005 at the Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua after a lengthy illness. She was born February 7, 1921 in Germantown, Wisconsin. Her parents were George and Fannie (Brownell) Lobenstein. On June 26, 1948 Mary was united in marriage to Ken Fosbinder and was a loving wife. Mary worked as a clerk for the Mauston IGA and for Daggetts Hardware Store after the IGA in Viroqua was sold. Mary also worked at St. Marys Alter Society for over 30 years and served as chairman of her circle for many years. Mary is survived by her husband, Ken; two brothers, Robert Lobenstein of Viroqua and Donald Lobenstein of Mauston; and one sister, Alice Musch of Sun Prairie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six of her brothers: William, Fred, Clarence, George, Raymond, and Gordon Lobenstein; and one sister, Helen Clark. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church in Viroqua. Father Wayne Kidd will celebrate the mass with burial at Our Saviors Cemetery in Westby. In lieu of flowers, masses to St. Marys Church of Viroqua are preferred. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
