Mary E. Riley

Mary E. Riley, age 60, of Rewey, WI, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born January 25, 1960, to Jesse and Annabelle (Gorsuch) Riley. She went to school at Iowa-Grant High School. Following high school, she became a homemaker, and a loving mother to Tim, Travis, and Tiana. She was a dedicated sports fan and loved her Green Bay Packers. On weekends, she enjoyed going to Gays Mills to spend time with her mother. She also liked to crochet, being outside, fishing and camping. Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her. Survivors include her mother: Annabelle Riley; three children: Tim (Jennifer Christianson) Thomas, Travis (Amy) Thomas, and Tiana Hardy; grandchildren: Jerry Thomas and Holly Girton, Nautica and Brantlee Thomas, Adalee Thorud, Grace McCulloch, and Alexa Thorud; her sibings: Sharon (Leroy) Dilly, Jim (Kay) Riley, David (Rosie) Riley, Penny Hatlan and Martha Winklepleck; her nieces and nephews; the father of her daughter David Hardy; special friend Harry Christanson; and other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her father Jesse; her siblings: Joe, Roberta, Karen; her grandmother Martha; and the father of her two sons Jerry Thomas. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Vosseteig Funeral Home, 325 Sunset Ridge Ave. in Gays Mills. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Mary will be laid to rest in the Blue River Cemetery.
