Mary Jane Hughes, age 44 of Westby, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Mary Jane Hughes, age 44 of Westby, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Mayo Health Care in LaCrosse as the result of a three year battle with breast cancer. She was born on April 30, 1971 to Alvin and Betty (Kolbo) Sordahl and graduated High School in 1989. Mary worked at Borgens Caf in Westby and then worked for 10 years at Westby Coop Credit Union and also worked at the Zzip Stop in LaFarge. Mary had worked the last 10 years at Organic Valley in LaFarge. She enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as shopping. The light of her life was her son, Nathaniel "Tristan" Alvin Hughes. She is survived by her husband, Troy Hughes; her son, Nathaniel "Tristan" Alvin Hughes; two step-children: Brook and Dylan Hughes; her parents: Alvin and Betty Sordahl; two sisters Rita (Jason) Eno and Kay Sordahl (Eric); three nieces: BreAnna, Fawn, and Mystic Eno; aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; two aunts, Beverly Kolbo and Vivian Sordahl. Blessed be our memory of Mary Jane Hughes Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at The Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor George Shick will officiate with burial in the Our Saviors Cemetery.
