Maryann T. Crook

Maryann T. Crook, age 71 of Viola, died Thursday January 16, 2020. Maryann Tomaszewski Crook passed away at Vernon Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the age of 71. She was born May 12, 1948, in Minooka, Pennsylvania, to Theodore and Helen (Kotnarowski) Tomaszewski. While working as an accountant in Alexandria VA, Maryann met and married David A. Crook, who was stationed at the Pentagon. They married on July 8, 1972. Moving in 1974 to Wisconsin, they settled on a small farm in Elk Creek, near Viola. Together they created Duraframe Dipnet, a small manufacturing firm. Throughout her life, Maryann enjoyed traveling with David, caring for her many animal friends, and surrounding herself with flowers. Marking special occasions of her family and friends was very important to her, and she filled her calendar with all the important dates of those close to her. She is survived by two brothers, Ted (Patricia) Tomaszewski, of Scott Township, Pennsylvania; Joseph (Jeanette) Tomaszewski, of Rockville, Maryland; one sister-in-law, Rebecca (Roger) Hooker, of La Farge, Wisconsin; her very special aunt, Maryann Gavin, and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Maryann was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Last Rites were given to Maryann on Thursday, January 16, 2020. In memory of Maryann, friends and family are encouraged to enjoy a plant or flower for themselves as a remembrance. As Maryann wished, no services are planned.
