Milan Leroy Kumlin

Milan Leroy Kumlin, age 64 of DeSoto, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at his home. He was born April 2, 1941 in LaCrosse, WI to Harold and Leora (Olson) Kumlin. Milan was the owner of Kumlins Logging and worked in the logging business for 42 years. He was owner and operator of P&M Concessions in Black Hawk Park for 16 years. He married Patsy Jean Wyburn on December 2, 1961. Milan is survived by his wife, Patsy, and children: Kim (Sven) Lee of Parker, CO; Daniel (Cathy) Kumlin of DeSoto; Mitch (Toni) Sickinger of Colorado Springs, CO; Maureen Kumlin of Prairie DuChien; Darwin (Lenay) Kumlin of DeSoto; Amy (Dean) Kroning of DeSoto; and Renee Kumlin and special friend, Brad Honn of Clermont, IA; 20 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maureen (Raymond L.) Smith of Onalaska. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the DeSoto Lutheran Church. Pastor Libby Howe will officiate with burial in the DeSoto Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 8 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 320 Main Street (Hwy 82) in DeSoto. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family.
