Mindy Brown, age 31 of Westby and formerly of LaCrosse, died Monday, August 26, 2013. Mindy Brown, age 31 of Westby and formerly of LaCrosse, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at her home. She was born on September 1, 1981 in Champaign, Ill. She was a graduate from Western Wisconsin Technical College in LaCrosse and was very proud of her job in building maintenance at the cafeteria at WWTC. The loves of her life include: Maggie, her pet therapy dog; her goats, chickens, gardening, and camping (especially at Jellystone). She is survived by her family with whom she lived with for many years: Brad and Cindy Grim and their children, Hillary and Jessup Grim; Miranda and John Thompson; grandparents: Larry and Janet Coleman, and John and Sharon Grim; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Connie Moore, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be directed to Special Olympics in La Crosse. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
