Minnie Arlene Jacobson, age 78 of Viroqua, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born June 21, 1927 in Newton, Wisconsin to Newell and Margaret (Myhre) Kittle. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Jacobson on November 1, 1949. He died March 10, 1991. Minnie worked as a tobacco sorter at Viroqua Leaf for a time and was also a homemaker. Prior to her marriage she did housekeeping and worked at the bakery in Viroqua. Minnie was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Viroqua. She is survived by her four children: Jean (Ed) Jasienski of Pine Island, MN; David (Amy) Jacobson of Minneapolis, MN; Roger (Sherease) Jacobson, and Steven Jacobson all of Viroqua; eight grandchildren: Chad, Bill, Amy, Christopher, Dakota, Savannah, Samuel, and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Cassie and Caylan; her sister Evelyn (Marvin) Whiteaker of Mt. Horeb; two brothers Richard (Marilyn) Kittle of Joliet, IL and Vernon (Nancy) Kittle of Georgia; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and two brothers, Lester and Lawrence Kittle. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Pastor Kathryn A. Ingbritsen will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, from 4 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 West Decker (Hwy 56) Viroqua. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
