Myrna Moe, 83, died Sunday, December 28, 2014. Myrna Ruth (Warner) Moe, age 83, formerly of Westby, died on December 28, 2014 at Bethany Riverside, La Crosse, WI. She was born in Viroqua on May 7, 1931 to Jay and Elsie (Snell) Warner. She graduated from Viroqua High School in 1949 and continued her education at Vernon County Normal School, graduating in 1951. She later went on to receive her Bachelor of Education from UW-La Crosse and taught at Enterprise Elementary in rural Vernon County. August 25, 1951 she was united in marriage to Donald Moe and they farmed in the Town of Christiana until his death in 1993. She was active in her church and was passionate about missions spending several months in Ecuador assisting a missionary family by teaching their young children. Myrna was an active member in the Westby Area Historical Society and Vernon County Homemakers. She was a devoted wife, supportive mother, and nurturing grandmother. Myrna is survived by four sons, Daniel (Christine) Moe of Onalaska, Peter (Jeannette) Moe of Holmen, David (Pam) of Janesville, Paul (Lori) Moe of River Falls; two daughters, Michelle (Jim) Kultala of Stacy, MN and Miriam Dahl of Woodbury, MN; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother Blaine (Valice) of Alpine, AZ, one sister Phyllis Dahlke of Waukon, IA; nieces, nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Wendell, Verlyn and Lyle, three brothers-in-law, Donald Dahlke, Wilmer Anderson, and Joseph Brown, two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Moe) Brown and Wanda (Peterson) Warner. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church, Westby, WI. Visitation will be held at the church from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Private interment will be held at a later date. Pastor Mary Brown will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby serving the family.
