Myrtle Fagerness

Myrtle Fagerness, age 94 of Westby, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 Myrtle Fagerness, age 94 of Westby, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Norseland Nursing Home in Westby. She was born on January 18, 1913 in the township of Christiana to Jens and Anna (Moen) Fagerness. She attended the Leum School and worked on the family farm with her brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Westby-Coon Prairie Lutheran Church and the WELCA. Myrtle is survived by distant relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Ole, Selmer, Hjalmer, John and Art; and two sisters: Otilla and Josephine. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Westby-Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday after 10:00 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
