Nancy C. Matson, age 64 of Viroqua, died Saturday, May 31, 2008. Nancy C. Matson, age 64 of Viroqua, died Saturday evening, May 31, 2008 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born June 11, 1943 in Viroqua to Francis and Edna (Everson) Matson. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith by Pastor O. M. Kleven. She lived with her parents until 1986 when her mother died. She then moved to VARC Home until moving to the Bethel Home in December of 2004. Nancy loved Elvis Presley, watching wrestling and her dog Queenie. She worked at VARC and was involved in Special Olympics and The Silver Lining Club. She is survived by three brothers: Jerrold (Hilda) Matson of Viroqua, David (Marilyn) Matson of Kansas, Francis (Ann Prissel) Matson of Viroqua; one sister: Jean (Gerald) Mattie of La Crosse; one brother-in-law: Ervan Olson of Westby. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joan Olson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. The Rev. Lindsay Paul Jordan and The Rev. Margaret Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker Street in Viroqua, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home is serving the family.
