Neola Olson, age 87 of Viroqua, died Friday, December 21, 2007 Neola M. Olson, age 87 of Viroqua, died early Friday morning, December 21, 2007 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born on May 21, 1920 in Viroqua to Adolph and Violet (Ostrander) Olson. She was confirmed at Viroqua Lutheran Church on July 7, 1935. Neola enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed playing bingo. She had been employed at the library in Viroqua for many years. She became a resident of the Bethel Home in Viroqua on June 9, 2003 where she received excellent care and was made to feel at home. She is survived by her grandson, Tyler Hanson and his fiance Tasha Mills of Viroqua; son-in-law, Charles Hanson of Viroqua; two brothers: Gary (Marge) Olson of LaCrosse and Howard (Sue) Olson of Sparta; brother-in-law, Elwin Harris of Wausau, WI; many nieces and nephews; and her extended family at the Bethel Home. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra E. Hanson on January 25, 1997; her parents; one brother, Eldridge Olson; and three sisters: Verlaine Harris, Evelyn (Bill) Romanshek and Geraldine (Murrel "Mungo") Haun. Blessed be our memory of Neola. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Lindsay Paul Jordan will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
