Norman G. Bolstad, age 83, of Viroqua, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was born August 6, 1937, to the late Alfred and Ella (Anderson) Bolstad. He graduated from De Soto High School. In 1960, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served honorably until 1962. He was married to Gail Bolstad from 1962 to 1977. He worked for American Motors in Kenosha for seven years, Alters Salvage Yard in La Crosse, and finally at Tollefson’s in Viroqua. Norm was a handyman who loved to fix things and was a hard worker. He enjoyed watching baseball, in particular the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs. Survivors include his children: Roderic Bolstad, Laura Thurston and Vickie Sheffer; his grandchildren: Joseph, Brody, Olivia, Lorraine, Leonard, Teresa, Russell, Kristina and Caleb; six great-grandchildren: his siblings: Arnold and Roger (Betty) Bolstad; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Richard Bolstad and Arletta Schmidt. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker Street in Viroqua. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Norman will be laid to rest at North West Prairie Cemetery.
