Norman Gustav LindvigOctober 23, 2005 Norman Gustav Lindvig, age 79 of rural Viroqua (Avalanche) passed away at his daughters home in Janesville on Sunday, October 23rd surrounded by his family. Born December 14, 1925 to Gustav and Grace (Henry) Lindvig in Avalanche, Norman was a graduate of Westby High School. He then hauled milk for the Brush Hollow Cheese Factory for several years, and worked at Knitt Construction for many years as a cement truck driver. He also farmed in Avalanche all of his life. He married Margaret Mosholder October 20, 1945 in Bloomingdale. She passed away in June of this year. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Robert) Nelson, Laura (Butch) Juno, and Ann (Thomas) Becker; five grandchildren, David Nelson, Beth (Pat) Morgan, Bobbi and Jeremy Juno, and TJ Becker; eight great-grandchildren, Nikki, Josh, Shaunda, Jamie, Erika, Alicia, Ashley, and Baleigh; two great-great-grandchildren, Matthew and Nykaya, all of Janesville. In addition, he is survived by two brother-in-laws, Ronald Mossholder of Westby and Donald Jacobs of Brookings, SD; a special cousin, Catherine (Martin) Egstad of Stoughton; and special nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; his parents; four brothers, Harold, Raymond, James (Herbie), and his infant brother Eugene; and one nephew, Kevin Lindvig. Norman was a member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, country and old-time music, and especially time spent with family. He always enjoyed the coffee-clutching with his neighbors.
