Norman Hagen

Norman Hagen, age 80 of Viroqua and formerly of Westby, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Norman Hagen, age 80 of Viroqua and formerly of Westby, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua where he has made his home for the last several years. He was born on December 15, 1927 near Westby, Wisconsin, the son of Harry and Martha (Jacobson) Hagen. Norman graduated from Westby High School. The family farmed until 1956 when Normans father, Harry died. Norman was an interior house painter and loved antiques. He made friends easily and enjoyed having coffee with the owners of the homes in which he painted. He was a lifetime member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Norman was preceded in death by his father in 1956 and his mother in 1998. He is survived by cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tueday, February 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Pastor Dennis Hallemeier will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday after 1:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
