Ole N. Sanwick,72, of Viroqua, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 Ole N. Sanwick, age 72 of Viroqua, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home after battling lung cancer. He was born on March 5, 1942 in Viroqua to Tilman and Anna (Eide) Sanwick. He was married to Beverly Kingston and later divorced. On October 30, 2000 he was united in marriage to Beth Stalsberg. Ole worked in Rockton, Illinois for Taylor Freezer. While working there he would bring cars home and work on them for friends and neighbors. After moving to Viroqua, Ole owned and operated Oles 76 Station for many years. He enjoyed visiting the casino and was often times "lucky". He is survived by his wife, Beth; his children: Mike Sanwick and his two children, Casey and Haley; Jeff (Cheryl) Sanwick and two children: Todd and Troy; Matt (Christal) Clancy and their child Gunnar; and Melissa (Mike) Buster and their children: Ty, Hope and Faith; his siblings: Kay (Robert "Punky") Swanson, Paula (Jim) Olson, and Barb (Ed) Olson; Tilman "Snooker" Sanwick, Carrie Jo (Karl) Baumgartner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Conrad, David, Dick, and Pete "PeeWee"; two sisters, Anna who died in infancy and Ingeborg. Blessed be our memory of Ole Sanwick. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. The Rev. Dr. Steven Fossum will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 6 pm and on Friday after 10 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home.
