Olga J. Kraabel, age 95 of Westby, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. Olga J. Kraabel, age 95 of Westby, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. She was born on March 8, 1911 in Vernon Co. to Oscar and Amanda (Skaug) Erlandson. On Dec. 29, 1934 she was united in marriage to Ingvald Kraabel. Olga was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Esofea where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She had also been active in the Sons of Norway, and had served as president. She is survived by two daughters: Leona (John) Waddell of LaFarge and Ida Hisel of Janesville; 10 grandchildren: Gary (Gurmal) Berge, Lynda (Tom) Jaeger, Karen (Myron) Odegard, Lori Schild, Patricia (Richard) Fry, John (Rena) Waddell, Kevin Waddell, Debra (Pat Byrne) Householder, Sandra (Terry) Sperry, and Julie (John) Vrahnos;17 great-grandchildren: Kristyn Jaeger, Evan Jaeger, Luke Odegard, Elyse Odegard, Alex Odegard, Erica Eyers, Jason Eyers, Matthew Fry, Jena Fry, Bradley Waddell, Miles Waddell, Brianna Householder, Nathan Householder, Aaron Householder, August Sperry, Josh Vrahnos, and Justin Vrahnos; two great-great grandchildren: Courtney and Haley; one sister, Ardyce (Blaine) Haugen of Westby; son-in-law, Kenneth Berge;and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Ingvald on March 12, 1972; one daughter, Alta Berge on July 1, 2006; four brothers: Ardean, Willard, Alton and Chester; one sister, Alice Stoleson; and her son-in-law: Bob Hisel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Esofea. Pastor Lori Kleppe will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday after 12:00 noon. Memorials may be directed to the Bethany Lutheran Church. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
