Olive Nustad, November 10, 2005 Olive Nustad, age 80 of 305 Chase Street, Viroqua, died Thursday, November 10, 2005 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. Olive was born July 5, 1925 in the Township of Christiana to Otto and Mattie (Hanson) Hagen. On March 29, 1946 she married Sidney J. Nustad in Decorah, Iowa. The couple farmed on Sidneys home farm for all their married life until Sidney died May 24, 1988. Olive moved to Viroqua in October of 1988. As a member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church, Olive served as a Sunday school teacher, was a member of the WELCA and the Hannah Circle. She was also the past president of the Bloomingdale Ladies Aid, a life member of the Country Coon Prairie Preservation Organization, and life member of the Snowflake Ski Club. She is survived by her two daughters and five grandchildren: Victoria (Ron) Fischer and their children Jeb and Josh Fischer of Eden Prairie, MN; and Irene "Ike" (Conrad) Zitzner of Viroqua and their children Lucas, Jessica Peroceschi, and Aaron Zitzner. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Kendra, Nash, Seth, and Grace Fischer and Madysen, Saige, and Braylen Zitzner; one sister, Doris Rudrud of Viroqua; one sister-in-law, Vivian Lee of Germantown; one brother-in-law, C.H. (Jolly) Hanson of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thelmer Hagen, step-brother Clarence Johnson, and her husband Sidney.
