Ona M Veglahn , 93, died on Friday, February 10, 2017. Ona M Veglahn, 93, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 after a short stay at the Morrow Memorial Home. Ona was born on February 22, 1923 to Russell and Lizzie (Sheldon) Delap. She attended school at Victory School. Ona had various housekeeping jobs before she married Delmon Webb. After Dels death she married Leonard "Buster" Veglahn and together they farmed in Bad Axe. They moved to Kenosha and Ona worked as a housekeeper at the Kenosha Memorial Hospital. After Busters death Ona returned to the Viroqua area where she stayed till she moved into assisted living at Bridgepath in Sparta. Ona enjoyed cooking and baking. She enjoyed traveling and liked to visit the casino. Ona was always happy when she would visit with friends and loved going out to dance. She was a member of the Bad Axe Lutheran Church before joining the New Hope Methodist Church. Ona is survived by two daughters: Myrna Grimsled of Madison, and Bernadine (Russell) Lehmann of Mindoro; seven grandchildren: Del (Sandra), and Marla Grimsled, Lori Lueder, Lisa (Donny) Stanton, Brian Lehmann, Kim Kramer, and Kelly Veglahn; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Del and Buster; son, Eugene "Hank"; six brothers: Vernon, Ray, Berlie, Nathan, Donnie, and Fredie; three sisters: Mae, Hazel, and Hope; two great grandsons: Craig Rockett and Joshua Stanton; and a son in law, Derold Grimsled. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the New Hope Methodist Church in Red Mound. Pastor Jim Aniol will officiate with burial to follow in the Victory Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Friends may call at the church from 10am until the time of service at 11.
