Orlan E. Kirking

Orlan E. Kirking, August 5, 2005 Orlan E. Kirking, 73, of Viroqua died Friday, August 5, 2005 at Vernon Memorial Hospital after a courageous fight with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born October 19, 1931 in rural Westby, WI son of Oscar and Ella (Larson) Kirking. He married Charlotte (Tootsie) Kadousek on August 16, 1958 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cashton. Orlan worked for the Vernon County Highway Department for 34 years. After retiring, he worked part-time for the Town of Viroqua for six years. He was an army veteran. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. The Lord was a great part of Orlan's life. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; two sons: Steve (Sue) of Lewiston, ID and Todd (Phyllis) Kirking of Viroqua; his grandchildren: Karlee and Kristen of Idaho, and Eric and Nicholas of Viroqua; one brother, Harvey (special friend Kathy Boldt) of Viroqua; two nieces; four nephews; several great nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Paul (Vivian) Kadousek of Muscoda; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Esther and one brother, Arthur.Blessed be the memory of Orlan. Orlan E.
