Palma Thora Jeffers, age 90 of La Crosse, died Saturday, August 16, 2008. Palma Thora Jeffers, age 90 of La Crosse, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. She was born of January 30, 1918 to Martin and Tilly (Hanson) Myhre in Vernon County. On April 23, 1938 she was united in marriage to Francis Jeffers in La Farge, WI by the Rev. Peter Holmes. She was employed at Hillview Health Care Center in the Laundry for many years.Palma is survived by two sons, Myron (Georgia) Jeffers of Cave City, Ark., Jerry (Audrey) Jeffers of Sparta, WI; three grandsons, Daniel (Peggy) Jeffers, Donald (Debbie) Jeffers, Dean (Mary) Jeffers; one granddaughter, Amanda Jeffers (Ryan Zuege); four great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two step-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; Charlotte Myhre, Marlene Jeffers, Vera Jeffers; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Tilly Myhre; husband, Francis; two granddaughters, Dawn and Julie; one grandson, Jason; two brothers, Lester and Norman Myhre; an infant sister; brothers and sisters-in-law.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main Street (Hwy. 14 S.) in Westby. Pastor John Eumurian will officiate with burial in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Rural Westby. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
